    • Our Mission

These concerts proudly serve the Academy's mission to foster the appreciation of music in south-central Pennsylvania. The concerts complement the educational program for students and to students' families and the public, they provide an opportunity to hear live performances in an intimate setting.

      Twilight Concert Series

pic The original concert series at the Pennsylvania Academy of Music, the Twilight Concerts, began even before the actual establishment of the Academy. Held at the Lancaster Historical Society, Unitarian Church, and Lancaster Theological Seminary, the first Twilight Concerts provided a distinctive kind of musical pleasure for the community of Lancaster and became much anticipated events. Musicians of all ages, from youth to mature professionals, have performed over the years to capacity audiences. Soloists and ensembles have come from around the nation and abroad – Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, China, Korea, and Japan.
