    • The Pennsylvania Academy of Music and the Pommeranian Early Music Guild invite you to a wonderful day of music making at the fifth annual central Pennsylvania Early Music Festival.

      9:00 - 10:30 Class Period I
      10:30 - 11:00 Break
      11:00 - 12:30 Class Period II
      12:30 - 2:00 Lunch Break
      2:00 - 3:30 Class Period III
      3:30 - 3:45 Break
      3:45 - 4:30 Concert

      Concert

      An open stage performance opportunity for individuals and ensembles to present a prepared selection on the fabulous stage at the new Pennsylvania Academy of Music. The faculty will also perform.

      Lunch

      Bring your own; or enjoy lunch in a local restaurant or at Lancaster’s famous Central Market - all within a short walk of the Academy.

      Free Recorder Class for Children Ages 6-12 (2:30-3:30 pm)

      Open for children ages 6-12 of all playing levels, including beginners! Participants bring their own recorder or use an instrument provided by the Festival. Class will include improvisations, games, songs, and a demonstration of the many different sizes of the recorder. Taught by Rainer Beckmann, the Pennsylvania Academy of Music’s recorder instructor and director of its Early Music Program. Use the form below to register.
